Who We Are
Infamous Management was an idea originally brought about by a group of athletes. The athletes decided that the only way to be represented accurately, both in the endemic and non endemic marketplace, was to be represented by people who have proven themselves as legitimate athletes, not just people. More importantly, the athletes wanted to be represented by those with a genuine passion and love of their sport. As the action sports market has grown and big businesses have become part of it, the best interest of the athlete and the sport have become secondary. Our main goal is to help protect the athlete and their respective sport. We believe that, with us, an athlete can grow, have a successful and lucrative career, and still maintain these qualities: loyalty, respect, trust, integrity and of course true love and dedication to improving their sport and their talents. Every person involved with IMI has a level of integrity and proven dedication to their sport(s). In short, IMI is a collective working towards a common goal. We work hard to be true to ourselves and our sport(s); the rest is in the details.
IMI was conceived by and started under the direction of Sean Kearns who used his 20 plus years of experience and strong ties in the industry to create the original Infamous crew. The crew was, and is still today, made up of the some of the top athletes in the industry. With the success of both Infamous Management and Infamous Entertainment, Sean decided to focus his energies on the Entertainment side of things, while Roberta took the lead at Infamous Management.
In the last 3 years Roberta has accomplished a lot for Infamous’ riders. Roberta’s skill as a manager comes, in part, from her own success as a professional snowboarder. During her career Roberta had several contest wins, video parts and garnered a variety of interviews and editorial coverage. She was also heavily involved in the business aspect of the sport by helping to run the first all women’s snowboard company as well as being involved in the design and development of various female products with her sponsors. Roberta also had first hand experience in action sports media in her role as Snowboard Canada Women’s Annual Creative Director. She also writes for various action sports outlets including Foam and Push.ca.
Having Roberta at the helm of Infamous Management has benefited both athletes and their sponsors, as Roberta knows what it takes to make it to the top of the field. Roberta works closely with the athletes to teach them how to establish themselves as a brand by focusing on their talent, personal style and the avenue in the sport that best suits them. She also makes sure that Infamous’ athletes have the best opportunities and support possible, so that they can reach their goals. Roberta’s knowledge and dedication are priceless to her role at Infamous.
